A movie that succeeds at having an interesting plot and likeable characters, and having overall a special B-movie charm. Is it a kind of creepy idea? Yes. Is the accident convenient and stupid? Yes.

Had the movie itself been more focused as a story of messy loss — and not played tonal Twister with its high concept — it might have better served its freshly oddball lead.

The whole movie has a damp, logy texture. It could have used a rewrite or a re-edit just to dry it out.

I thought the premise of this film was great and was anxious to watch it after I saw the trailer. After watching it, I can concede that Kazan and Johnson have great chemistry but that's not enough to save this weirdly plotted comedy. By the end it feels clichéd and silly.
