The Presidio (1988)

Jay Austin is now a civilian police detective. Colonel Caldwell was his commanding officer years before when he left the military police over a disagreement over the handling of a drunk driver. Now a series of murders that cross jurisdictions force them to work together again. That Austin is now dating Caldwell's daughter is not helping their relationship.

Run-of-the-mill cop thriller. The military twist with Connery as an unconvincing 'Scottish' Colonel doesn't add much flavour, Meg Ryan as the love interest doesn't work either.

Ok movie. Decent action, average plot, bit funny, with good performances from Harmon and Connery.

The Presidio is a pretty good movie featuring some great actors. It is an interesting story about how the military and the civilian police interact, and how this isn't always very cooperative. There is some pretty decent action here as well.

I'm glad I watched this with a friend. The Presidio was so awesomely bad that it was awesomely amazing. It's an extremely cliché 80s thriller. Sean Connery's accent was very annoying, seeing that he's an American military officer with a Scottish accent...

cross jurisdictional crime dramas are fun. unfortunately get beyond that and this movie falls apart
