one the most amazing film noir exemples.. beside stiLL it's one of the american productions most close to european style... see aLso the first itaLian adaptation of the book: "ossesione"

An excellent film noir of the brilliant 1940s. Lana Turner as the manipulative wife who would do anything to get to the top was fantastic. I love how she wears nothing but white, but her heart is black.
