Plot on paper barely passes credibility, so on screen the loose ends don't gel properly and could have been really good. Lol to ending

The Ones Below is a taut and suspenseful film that will keep you on edge throughout its entirety. Although somewhat predictable as to the intentions of the peculiar couple who live below, director David Farr will make you continuously question if your suspicions are correct or if there's something entirely different going on here. The fact that I was questioning myself and the direction of the film is what made The Ones Below a unique, unorthodox and enjoyable thriller.

Though it lacks style, 'The Ones Below' is a decent melodrama with a more sinister side that gradually creeps up on the audience. It also has a standout female lead that evokes Bette Davis (and the like) at her most disturbed and driven.

It was a fairly okay psychological thriller. I didn't like the cast much but the story was good however it had a very slow pace so I got bored from time to time. The ending was good.

While The Ones Below doesn’t make it over the finish line, Farr shows good instincts, and has an ease for creating tension without overt manipulation, while keeping everything engaging enough that you’re willing to overlook questions that nag after the credits roll.
