The Mutations is an oddity of a film really, from sideshow curiosity to mad scientist horror to 70's sleaze it never quite decides what it wants to be & suffers because of it but there's enough to keep you from being bored & I liked it overall even if it could have been even better.

I saw this once as a kid & I was rolling on the floor laughing. Its so bad, its good lolz. With Tom Baker & Donald Pleasence.

The freaks in the fair are actually kind of fun and are probably professionals I'm guessing, but Donald Pleasance is uncharacteristically wooden unfortunately, and I have no idea why he has the dodgiest accent in the world!! Mildly entertaining...

One for those with a penchant for the weird, freakish type of horror movie only early 70's british studios could make... great to see Tom Baker in an early role....

This film really is rubbish, again though it starts to fall into the category of its so bad it is worth a look. Some of the scenes in it are unbelievable (you would not get away with those freak scenes today!)! And looks like its been made on a budget of £20! One of the plus points of this film is to see Tom Baker in his pre-Doctor Who days as a mad freak with a bad haircut! The cake destroying scene is so funny, I would try and explain the plot, but I havenâ??t really got a clue what its about! Donald Pleasance would have been better leaving this one off his CV!
