The Minus Man (1999)

When the quiet and amiable Vann Siegert drifts into town, no one suspects the evil that lies beneath the surface. If you're dragged to the theater to be someone's not-dumb date, pack a crossword and a light pen. It'll be the only puzzle worth solving.

The most lackadaisical thriller I've ever seen, overly infatuated with not only the inexplicability of random evil, but also its mundanity.

Ack.. the worse serial killer movie I've ever seen.

In this movie Owen Wilson stars as a cold-blooded serial killer who travels around the country in order to choose victims who complain about their lives and talk about all their misery. When the killer comes to a new small town where he gets to stay at a unhappily married couple, he just waits to find his next victim. He sees ghosts who taunt his concience and he later starts a relationship with a woman from his job. It was very interesting seeing Wilson in this kind of character and I think it suited him well. He expresses this kind of innocence. Very interesting movie.

Owen Wilson as you've never seen him before! He pulls off this dramatic role flawlessly.
