Con Air (1997)

Newly-paroled former US Army ranger Cameron Poe is headed back to his wife, but must fly home aboard a prison transport flight dubbed "Jailbird" taking the "worst of the worst" prisoners, a group described as "pure predators", to a new super-prison. Poe faces impossible odds when the transport plane is skyjacked mid-flight by the most vicious criminals in the country led by the mastermind — genius serial killer Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, and backed by black militant Diamond Dog and psychopath Billy Bedlam.

One of the 90s action movies at its best with a story line the mrs will enjoy too

Still riding high from his Oscar Glory and just one year after Nicolas Cage made his deal with the devil (Jerry Bruckheimer and The Rock), the Hollywood Son of Krypton rushes back into the arms of his dark master in what has to be The Greatest Cornucopia of Preposterous Action Brilliance ever bombarded upon an unsuspecting popcorn audience. Cage is army ranger turned justified convict Cameron Poe, the ultimate Christian Super Hero who proves the existence of God to his diabetic cellmate by single handily asskicking a whoâ??s who of rogues: John Malkovichâ??s Cyrus the Virus, Ving Rhamesâ?? Diamond Dog, Danny Trejoâ??s Johnny 23, Dave Chappelleâ??s Pinball, Nick Chinlundâ??s Billy Bedlam, MC Gaineyâ??s Swamp Thing, and Steve Buscemiâ??s Hannibal Lecterâ??uh, I mean Garland Greene. This is one of the all time greats, people. Love it, live it, be it. VF.

Is Con Air quite possibly one of the most FUN movies ever made? Hellyes! Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovich, Danny Trejo..freakin' icons! Completely over the top, a completely amazing cast, and quite frankly; a completely amazing movie!

It's a high flying extravaganza that I really enjoy. The action is great, and the acting is pretty good, and there are plenty of moments that I just can't help but quote. I love this movie, and I strongly suggest seeing it.
