Burton is a reluctant telekinetic who can kill peole with a look, and his powers expand until he causes massive disasters. It is a bit of a TV movie, but taken seriously by both Burton and Lino Ventura the detective who pursues him. It is kind of a low key "The Omen" with a tendency to tell rather than show, unfortunately. It also reminds of the Ursula K. Le Guin novel whose central character's dreams can change reality. Worth a rent.

Endearingly bonkers late 70s thriller about a man who can will misfortune on those he dislikes. Richard Burton imbues the central character with all the pent up hatred, resentment and misanthropy of a drunk, violently intelligent Welshman while an 'usual suspects' cast (Michael Hordern, Derek Jacobi etc) fall victim to his wrath. Flawed and somewhat cheap looking, this Roald Dahl-eque tale of the completely expected is an immensely enjoyable bit of fluff.
