The Mechanic (1972)

Arthur Bishop is a veteran hit man who, owing to his penchant for making his targets' deaths seem like accidents, thinks himself an artist. It's made him very rich, but as he hits middle age, he's so depressed and lonely that he takes on one of his victim's sons, Steve McKenna, as his apprentice. Arthur puts him through a rigorous training period and brings him on several hits. As Steven improves, Arthur worries that he'll discover who killed his father.

one of my favorite Bronson and Winner films. Doesn't have the social commentary of Death Wish, but it still packs a cinematic punch.

Bronson at his scraggiest before his face puffed up. The amoral hitman and his shadow. The movie has its moments like Bronson planning the murders and the talk when a girl slits her wrist. She asks Bronson how long before she dies and he replies about exactly how long it will take given her weight and wound and how she will successively feel. Now Bronson is the guy who know's such shit. I wonder which school he learned that in

I love this movie about a vetran assassin and his young counterpart. The game of cat and mouse at the end will leave you shocked, sad and then finally smiling at Bronson's deed.
