The Mechanic (1972)

Arthur Bishop is a veteran hit man who, owing to his penchant for making his targets' deaths seem like accidents, thinks himself an artist. It's made him very rich, but as he hits middle age, he's so depressed and lonely that he takes on one of his victim's sons, Steve McKenna, as his apprentice. Arthur puts him through a rigorous training period and brings him on several hits. As Steven improves, Arthur worries that he'll discover who killed his father.

The Film See's Bishop, Taking A Job Which Leads To An Old Friends Death, Bishop Then Decides To Teach His Friends Son, Steve Everything He Knows. A Great Slow-Burn Thriller, Scripted Brilliantly & Features One Of Bronson's Finest Performances.

One of Bronson's better movies where he plays an aging hitman who takes a young man under his wing to teach him the rules of the trade. A well made and acted action thriller.

As slow paced as a movie can get but really interesting characters made this well worth the time to watch. The intro with Bronson watching his prey and planning a hit was really good, the bike chase was pretty good and the last 15 minutes were pure 70's action, just excellent.
