The Manchurian Candidate (2004)

Years after his squad was ambushed during the Gulf War, Major Ben Marco finds himself having terrible nightmares. He begins to doubt that his fellow squad-mate Sergeant Raymond Shaw, now a vice-presidential candidate, is the hero he remembers him being. Mind game, this was the movie was all about, the story line and plot was awesome, the cast are perfectly selected, and to represent the "mind game" of the acting on this movie, Denzel and Meryl are the best, and they did gave outstanding performance in this remake of 1962's "The Manchurian Candidate".

Better than the old version only because of the filming technology :-D Still good though :-D

Jonathan Demme's reworking of the tale's cold war leanings into homeland security ones are a nice match to the source material.

Rob Gonsalves 26 Sep 2007

Demme's filmmaking has lost none of its jazz.

Duane Dudek 28 Jul 2004

A funny, creepy, cynical, lurid and strident potboiler whose surreal premise feeds on our depressingly all-too-familiar world.
