One and a half hour I'm never getting back.. Not even Olivias eyes could save this movie.. just tragic..

Seems quite empty and shallow like it's characters and feels like a weird patchwork of a Wes Anderson and a Woody Allen film without realizing the charm of either. An otherwise perfectly adequate and unremarkable film.

There's a fine line between being "inspired" by a director, and totally ripping one off. This is like a Wes Anderson fan film that copies everything about his visual style and attempts to copy his dry narcissistic characters but falls well short of both. It's a shame the director didn't just concentrate on making the best film he could, because he has a good cast in Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, but he was clearly so transfixed with being Wes Anderson mark 2.

I'm watching Jason Bateman in Ozark which is probably his best role in years. So watching him in this mediocre comedy was a low blow of insatisfaction.
