Touching storyline worth watching, I absolutely recommend it. Good ending. Never judge a book by its cover.

Sophia Loren proves herself she still the living legend of the Golden Years in Hollywood, with a majestic performance such as this, makes The Life Ahead another excellent film for her filmography

The film, modest and often maudlin on its own storytelling terms, runs on a current of beyond-the-screen devotion that makes it compelling. Without that unquantifiable x-factor presence in the frame, it’s hard to say what reason this Netflix release would really have for being.

Ok... Calm down... The dubbing is not so great and they could actually do a better job. The acting and the Plot is awesome.. 10 times better then any no sense movie around. Sophia did an amazing Job and I am not crazy about her.

The main selling point is Loren, who combines world-weary abrasiveness with a sense of something softer, turning Rosa into a believably divided character who puts a brave face on the future while seeking refuge from the past in the sanctuary of her lonely basement.
