I wanted to like this movie, but the presentation and ridiculous story made it impossible. It's disappointing given some great characters that were in the movie and the cast that was assembled.

When a female outlaw tries to recover the dead body of her lover, she is chased all over the country side doing anything and everything she can to get it back. Unlike most of the western films in the past, this movie leaves little to the imagination and has such a bleak outlook on the era it is set in. The only redeeming quality comes from it's two female leads (Lizzy Caplan and Cote de Pablo) who give very strong performances in an otherwise uneven story. This movie is for mature viewers only...but 'Enter at your own risk'!!!!!!

This was possibly the worst western made in my time. With the cast I was expecting more but in the end fell short. To slow, over used flashbacks, and crappy editing. I would not recommend this to anyone.

It didn't take me very long to realize that I wasn't going to enjoy The Last Rites of Ransom Pride. Ten minutes, at most. The whole vibe of the movie just turns me off.
