The Last Lear (2008)

The film starts with the veteran thespian Harish Mishra, he is gravely ill. The punishments of a film shoot have left the old man in a coma. His co-star, Shabnam, is wracked with worry, but their director, Siddharth, keeps strangely distant and refuses to visit his ailing star. In flashbacks, their story emerges.

No other guy can recite KING LEAR on his deathbed like that. No other guy can hit a journalist for forgetting A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. AB rocks. Period.

Firstly, the film is nothing gr8.. nothin awesome.. but still somewhere down the line.. it appeals because it has got a heart!Hearty congrats to Rituparna Ghosh to have made and released such a film when no-brainers like Singh is Kinng and Welcome r ruling the marquee. As for the performances Mr. Bachchan excels and gives a performance worth remembering for a lifetime.Arjun is surprisingly brilliant.Ahh.... anythin else worth mentioning.. ahh.. i don think so!!! These r sufficient reasons to go and watch a 'meaningful' film for a change!
