The Last House in the Woods follows a couple that run into some trouble on the side of the road from a few thugs right before things get real worse for the girl a car pulls up with another couple inside willing to help they take the pair to there house in the woods thats when the fun starts cause this isnt your regular couple they have a deep dark secret hidden in that house and all hell is gonna break loose. Reminded me alot of Last House on the Left with some Texas Chainsaw also some Hills Have Eyes thrown in the dubbing is kinda bad on this one but the gallons of blood and gore make up for it still only 3 stars cause ive seen it all done before and alittle bit better worth a watch though. Another release from Ghosthouse Pictures.

This movie, like many others, takes a fairly hackneyed plot but adds in its own twist. In Wes Craven's, "The Last House on the Left," it was the bad guys who ended up at the good guys' house; in this film it's the other way around. However, unlike Craven's nightmarish flick, this film actually has a plot which floats on its own. Ultimately, this film suffers from a lack of character development and an unusual mellow-dramatic plot twist at the end which is so out of place it comes off as absurd rather than startlingly ironic.

Here we go. I kinda choked on all the Argento homages but he is my boy so I didn't mind. It's overdubbed but that just kinda adds to the grindhouse feel, some nice splatter and it was a fun time for my EuroGoreHound ass. That english title sounds lame as hell but so be it.
