Even more welcome than its unusual story content is its humanistic impulse: It comes from a place of respect for its characters and belief in their dignity; by extension, it offers these same courtesies to its audience.

The struggle told through the eyes of a child. I loved it!!! I'm a grown man and I was moved to tears at the end. It was really a great film.

So very good and moving! Real is another way that I would describe it! Jennifer Hudson's role as the junkie/prostitute mom was amazing. But Mister and Pete are the stars. SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!
