Beautiful film. Less of a screwball than The Triplets of Belleville, but all the more enjoyable if you ask me.

Just wonderful. Music carries the images without the need for dialogue. Characters dance through the scenes as if they weren't animated. You never think that anything bad will happen. At the end, it is difficult, initially, to tell if its a happy or sad ending.

Pretty sublime as far as animation and storytelling goes.. this is also just a very, VERY sad movie.

I really wish more of these types of animated films were in the forefront. It's refreshing to see something this beautiful compared to the onslaught of 3D animated films!
