Wonderful to have Australian movies like this emerge. Beautifully crafted; some gorgeous direction in photography; and who could not like Joan Chen? Hats off to you, Tony... I was truly moved to tears with your story.

It was painful to watch. Maybe its because of my own mother issues, which run deep and from which I try to extricate myself. I spent most of the movie tense and unsympathetic towards the mother character. It also made me sad to see how human being replicate issues generations back and pass it on to their offspring simply because they themselves are too ill-equipped and unprepared for life.

Joan Chen was superb (as expected). I'm not sure whether the woman in this story is ill fated, or deeply blessed (yet not being grateful)... Kids' performance was awesome too!

Great movie depicting an amazing story. It really touch my heart as I could relate to some of the family issues. Excellent performance by the actors.
