131214: Not a big fan of these farcical westerns. This film failed to make me laugh.

This film is absolutely beautiful and the cinematography is absolutely amazing! This is a must see film!

Only worth watching for Kim Novak completionists, which I count myself among. There's a great cast here who are trapped in a very unfunny western farce involving Zero Mostel as a con man planning to rob a high security bank with his gang, while masquerading as a folksy preacher. The script was written by future Exorcist author William Peter Blatty and the cast includes Mostel, Novak, Clint Walker, Claude Akins, Larry Storch (of F-Troop fame) , Mako and Elisha Cook Jr. For me, the gorgeous Novak was the only reason to keep watching the film and it's not surprising she took a 4 year hiatus after this dud.
