Quite a story.. Told well... a good movie experience... maybe a little bit soapish, but based on a life story, much different then outs...

This tribute is overlong and too reverent, conveying little sense of Xiao Hong the person and even less of her talent.

This is a biography about a female writer in the 1930s. Maybe it's China and back in those days. To me this is just a sad story of those times and how people live in poverty and prefer to have a life of an artist and nothing special! But it is beautifully acted. Other than that , her story isn't very exciting!
