It's night on a Paris bridge. A girl leans over Seine River with tears in her eyes and a violent yearning to drown her sorrows. Out of nowhere someone takes an interest in her. He is Gabor, a knife thrower who needs a human target for his show. The girl, Adele, has never been lucky and nowhere else to go. So she follows him. They travel along the northern bank of the Mediterranean to perform.

esthetique: qui touche a notre sensibilite par sa forme; son image, sa musique, la beaute des acteurs, l histoire magique et completement incredible dont on reve si fort... merveilleusement esthetique ce film!

A great movie from France speaks volumes on people down to their last hope. A suicidal girl becomes the target for the knife thrower who saves her from jumping off a bridge. One of those movies where you want to hug someone..in this case Vanessa Paradis. I loved this movie.

Another gorgeous film! I could not pull my eyes away! I keep coming across movies, like this one! While I'm watching, I think "This might be my favorite film, the best thing I've ever seen!" Maybe I get too wrapped up in the story and its imagery... but who cares. I'm tempted to think that my standards are too low... but that theory goes out the window when I remember how hard The Rundown, Live Free or Die Hard, and the latest Indiana Jones sucked balls!

the sexiest film ever made, without there actually being any sex in it? Daniel Auteil is his usual moody selfbut photography and soundtrack take this to a different level (and having Vanessa Paradis in it would help any film...)
