Well It felt like a 50's B-Movie had been converted to colour and forgotten about until the mid 70's, so if that was the intention you got the effect... As the 50's were one of my favourite era in horror/sci-fi I was quite inclined to watch this and for my fear of spiders... Unfortunately campy monster spiders aside; the story just wasn't good enough to really warrant... The spiders didn't get featured enough and instead we were presented with rather dimwitted fools with wooden acting performances!

This is one of the most hilarious movies of all time. MST3K's version would get 5 stars, but I give the original 4 for being almost as hilarious on its own.

First off I HATE spides! Hokey, boring, draggy, maybe just right down silly would describe this. You have to watch 45 minutes just to see a giant spider! It looks like some parade float gone wrong! You can see the microphone at the bottom of the picture when the scientists are talking to the sheriff. The sheriff was Skipper on Gilligan's Isle and that is the best part of this movie.

this was actually quite entertaining. the effects aren't that bad considering budget and year. the dialog is pretty good at times but really hilariously bad most of the time. if you like monster movies you better watch this and you'll probably like it.
