A breathtaking and unbelievably innovating movie, truly some of the most creative and original storylines of modern cinema. Very philosophical, it will make you drop all of your ideas to the floor and rise them back up to the roof. All of this around an adorable love story that will make yourself question what love truly is. Inspires deep reflection and very mind blowing, a movie that will leave you thinking for days. Alongside with a very detailed artistic production, a story to remember.

While I felt unsure of the film after my first viewing, the film most certainly delivered on the second. Very different from her first film, but still containing the Miranda July charms that made me love the first film and her writing. Plus there's a talking cat! Oh, and a lovely Jon Brion score.

A talking cat and moon and a restless T-shirt distract from the story, creating what July intends as interesting textures but instead come across as a form of vandalism.

Miranda July is a weird and wonderful treasure and we are lucky to have her. The Future is a wildly original, well-acted and fascinating film that captivates from beginning to end.
