A shy and introvert sailor must kiss a popular big band vocalist in public to help a friend out of a betting jam. More a revue than a musical, outdated and with a paper thin plot, though there is still an air of nostalgia about it that some will find appealing.

Raucous Paramount musical with wonderful Johnny Mercer songs; Lamour croons "I'll Remember You," Jimmy Dorsey & His Orchestra introduce "Tangerine," and Hutton (in her feature film debut) sings "Arthur Murray Taught Me Dancing in a Hurry."
