1987, love in time of war: bus driver George meets Carla, a Nicaraguan exile living a precarious, profoundly-sad life in Glasgow. Certainly not my favorite Ken Loach film; it doesn't help that the DVD has no subtitle track, and those Glasgow accents are mighty thick.

Film très émouvant et très dur sur... euh... on dira le syndrome de stress post-traumatique de Carla, une jeune femme ayant fui le Nicaragua pour l'Écosse.

A far cry from Loach's two other Glasgow films. Frankly, a bore despite the important subject matter.
