Just like any other movie that tries to break out of a great book, this one suffers. But, unlike other movies that are spawned of a great book, the wonderful acting and half-descent action carry this movie above the ranks. Also, if you are a fan of WWII flicks then this should be on your list of things to do.

This is one of the best WW II fantasy movies, great adaptation of the Higgins book and how can you go wrong with taking this cast with good acting and this adaptive story!

An interesting idea with fair execution and a great cast. Sadly I can't help but notice post-war Carbines with 30 round mags and not be taken out of the movie at this point, but most of the combat stuff seemed pretty amateurish anyways. Okay movie.

Very ggod but nowhere near as good as the book which is brilliant
