It is really hard to fault this film with such a stellar Australian cast (a who's who of Australian acting royalty on display), beautiful costumes and setting. I laughed and I cried. I have not read the book so I can't comment on the adaptation but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this film. I would happily see this again.

Hands down the best movie I have seen in a long time. I laughed, I cried and I felt uplifted. The acting was simply outstanding. Can't believe it can be rated poorly by anyone but i know that many people don't understand black comedies and the quirky sense of humour that is in many Australian movies- how very sad for them.

Not gonna lie, this movie makes me want to go to my own small town where I was bullied and go fuck shit up there. For me, it's hard to find a female heroine that's strong, and not afraid of a fight. Myrtle (Tiff) is the perfect example of one. This movie, is interesting, very dark, of course. The imagery and costumes are off the charts, the acting is amazing. I found this jewel while looking for a comedy, and left crying. There's dark humor, with a strong message behind the movie. I really can't see why this has low ratings.

Absolutely loved it! It had everything- drama, wit, pain, love, fear, guilt, regret, comedy, nostalgia exquisite fashion and every human behaviour exposed. And I never realised how drop dead gorgeous Liam Hemsworth is!
