The mysterious murder of a US senator bearing the distinctive trademark of the legendary Soviet assassin 'Cassius', forces retired CIA operative, Paul Shepherson to team with rookie FBI agent, Ben Geary to solve the crime. Having spent his career chasing Cassius, Shepherdson is convinced his nemesis is long dead, but is pushed to take on the case by his former supervisor, Tom Highland. Geary, who wrote his Master's thesis on Shepherdson's pursuit of the Soviet killer, is certain that Cassius has resurfaced.

The story on this one was spectacular. A ton of action, a suspenseful thrilling plot, and honestly? Aside of The Jackal? I think this is one of Richard Gere's BEST movies he's ever made. It's just that good.

A good action movie about some killer with a double identity. Great to see Martin Sheen and Richard Gere in a solid story with some unexpected twists. Recommended.

With the negative reviews I almost passed this film by but am glad I didn't as it was a thoroughly enjoyable thriller. Yes the plot did make some unlikely jumps but what film these days EVER stays true to reality, sometimes a story needs a little help to keep the excitement and be told in 90 minutes. There was nothing too outrageous. Yes you do find out the identity of Cassius early on but although other critic felt that spoilt it I felt it ratcheted up the tension on when would the FBI figure it out and there was still a final twist at the end which worked well. Give it a go, you'll enjoy it.

Not bad thriller starring Richard Gere, full of interesting twists, some could of been revealed later in the film than it actually was.
