Perfectly captures the self destructive nihilism of the late 70s punk movement through interviews and great performances by X, Fear, Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, Alice Bag Band, Catholic Discipline, and the Germs. Especially fascinating is watching interview and performances with Darby Crash of The Germs, in the months prior to his suicide. A powerful document of a moment in time.

The live performances would be enough, but the interviews are priceless. Darby Crash's case is tragic, but he is punk rock.

Footage and interviews of the bigger bands that made up the uplifting and culturally diverse underground punk scene in LA in 1980. If you're not white and disillusioned, you don't fit in. The Germs really stunk. Interesting bit of history.

Makes me wanna play guitar badly and break shit. Seriously, Its a very interesting look at the LA Punk scene in 79/80. As a big fan of Black Flag and the Germs I really appreciated the mix of interviews and live footage. Both of which offered very funny moments.
