Although the film always plays bigger than it is, Freyne continually keeps the conflict on an intimate level by keeping his focus on Senan, Abigail and Connor's whose differences with each other are articulated so intelligently and distinctly.

As much about forgiveness as fear, [David] Freyne doesn't neglect the kitchen sink drama dynamic in the lost souls triangle of his three central characters. His film is all the better for that

Definitely a new twist on the zombie genre though more of a social commentary than a horror movie. If you are looking for Dawn of the Dead, this isn't your movie. However, the atmosphere is wonderfully crafted and dark. It's a zombie movie with brains.

Diferente,pero sin energía para llegar al final, un film que toma un topico pos apocaliptico de otro punto de vista, que logra construir una historia diferente, pero que no llega a ser relevante ,claramente esta historia finaliza haciendo todos los cliches posibles y desperdiciando una oportunidad de mostrar algo distinto.

There's a sneakiness to this film's first two acts, as if writer-director David Freyne is desperately trying to convince you that "The Cured" isn't headed for the zombie-movie third act that it obviously, inevitably is.
