Not at all what I was expecting or really wanted. Just too damn goofy. But Burt Lancaster is always cool. And the insanity of the ending was hard not to enjoy. And man, Lancaster makes one ugly lady! VF

well done swashbuckler movie lancaster is in his element as an acrobatic (which he was b4 becoming a movie star) smiling and athletic, good fun.

This is probably the first film i saw that wasn't animated and it is absolutely awesome! full of cliche pirate antics!

A bit over the top, but good clean fun. It maintained a level of entertainment that was exhausting at times because it never took a break from the gags or drama. The ships were beautiful as well as the setting.
