Cheesy certainly but still a great film. An extremely fun and light-hearted pirate movie with the main leads being thoroughly enjoyable and well cast.

I have a weakness for Burt Lancaster. What a hunk he was ! Silly movie but entertaining.

Tends towards silliness, but some of the best one-liners for a pirate movie.

Cheesy film, I grant that. But Lancaster in one of his signature roles is fabulous with that big, shiny smile of his. Buddy Nick Cravat plays his best bud, once again mute. And all time favorite of mine.

Carnival-like 1950s pirate yarn is fun for all.
