excellent! action, adventure, romance and pirates, paired with an excellent cast (Burt Lancaster used to be in the circus - definately adds to the role!)

Possibly the best pirate film of all time in the days before special effects and when actors performed their own stunts. Although over 50 years old, this film is still fresh and feisty and full of stripy trousered swashbuckling fun.

Best pirate movie ever. So clean & polite ;). Good for family audience. Still good acting performance for Burt Lancaster as a sexy/well-educated pirate !
