Excellent film that was compelling and kept my attention throughout with a look at contemporary Australia from a perspective we're not used to seeing.

While I had to rewind a few times in order to understand the accents, I must say that this is one good movie. I found the racial tensions interesting, especially since I'm so used to the American perspective in movies. I really ended up caring about the characters in the movie. On a funny note, I got a kick out of the fact that this time, it was the darker skinned people who were rockin' mullets.

This movie definitely impressed me. It's a reflection of racism in Australia (most notably in south-western Sydney), however some parts seem a little contrived. What surprised me the most about this film is how much hate is apparent within it. I can't remember a movie I've seen where 'hate' has been as prevalent and powerful as it is in The Combination. Some parts of the film are hard to watch because of the utter evil that inhabits some of the characters. Speaking of the characters, the main ones are developed very craftily, a highlight of the film.

I liked this movie. There's some good acting and some really good directing and cinematography, especially towards the end of the movie. At times, the accents were a bit difficult to understand.
