this is a surprisingly suspenful and quite serious, and even sad thriller about a man who likes to collect. butterflies and women. well, a woman actually. and the rest is hard to predict. which is good. british cinema of top quality.

This movie is so creepy. I found many moments very suspenseful and thought the discussions about money, class distinction and what creations are valid as worthwhile was very interesting

Young Terence Stamp is playing a young man with a strange understanding of how to treat women. It's a story of how a man becomes a murder.. Acting and the dialog just chills. I want to read the book!!

I liked the novel better, but that's sort of inevitable with a psychological thriller. It's still pretty well done, and the acting is really superb.
