Mostly it's a quiet salute to classic romantic comedy - and to a star who, frankly, is far nicer than the times he was born to work in.

I'm sorry but in what reality does a nerdy, uncharismatic, ambitionless, jobless, not conventionally attractive middle aged man not only get to be the protagonist in the story but also gets the younger absolutely gorgeous Amanda Seyfried as a love interest? Obviously this film was created by a slew of nerdy unremarkable white men with delusions of entitlement. Two stars for Tracy Morgan because I will watch anything he is in.

Main character is low profile and not seeking fame, his friends and the people in his social circle are not the modern, digitally adept/social network-driven kind of crowd. When a high profile show catches wind of his job as a infomercial audience attendee, and he becomes the face of mockery in show, his life and those closest to him suffer the consequences. Characters in movies are not "photoshopped," but real, awkward, quirky and sweet. Satirical comedy romance.
