The man who has everything actually has nothing, and Dave's efforts to filter out his life for something solid and tangible make for an endearing and funny trip.

Everything is well done.. i like the plot.. like nicholas narrating.. memorable quotes from the movie.. lol.. i like it in the end when a guy asked him about the weather.. he said who knows? truly.. it's just a bunch of wind blowing around.. and unpredictable..

This movie was a surprise. Must see. Tartar sauce.

Life really is "all about the tartar sauce." It's those who miss it that don't get tartar sauce at all. Woefully mis-marketed Nic Cage vehicle. It's not a comedy. It's drama. And real. Very real. Honest. 9/16/08 -- Just finished my fourth viewing of this film. Have to say, it really is great.

As far as adult movies with a message go you can't beat this quirky film that probably had more personal impact on me than any other film I've seen since Adaptation. I'm amazed and heartened that movies like this can still get made. The last line of this movie is probably one of the most profound, honest and revealig things I've ever heard in a movie.
