This is a great poker movie before poker went mainstream. A classic that I often go back to and watch again.

Superb poker movie! I love McQueen in it, and it was good to see that the hero McQueen can lose too! And the finale between the kid and the man is fantastic! I'm glad they chose to produce the movie!

a classic without a doubt... McQueen was great again, great supporting cast with Edward G. Robinson & the beautiful Ann Margaret, great poker movie..

C'est le film sur le poker ou le temps de jeu est peut-etre le plus considerable, du coup mieux vaut s'abstenir si on n'aime pas les cartes. A part ca, j'ai beaucoup aimÃ©.En revanche, date oblige (1965) c'est du stud mais personnellement ca ne m'a pas gene. Et puis les actrices sont tout Ã fait charmantes.

Movie was compelling for most of the way. Charismatic stars anchor this film. I was most fascinated by the realistic poker playing scenes, some of the best card playing scenes ever. Ann Margret is stunning, so attractive, but 1960'S dressMovie was compelling for most of the way. Charismatic stars anchor this film. I was most fascinated by the realistic poker playing scenes, some of the best card playing scenes ever. Ann Margret is stunning, so attractive, but 1960'S dress and hairstyles don't match 1930s time period. Fine work by editor Hal Ashby, and director Norman Jewison.
