The Chambermaid is a facinating look at voyeurism from the point of view of a queer Chambermaid, Lynn. Lynn herself is a reserved figure. She rarely speaks, just watches. This is a film that is complex in its simplicity and gives us a direct link to the gaze of someone who films usually ignore.

Vicky Krieps plays a shy, obsessive compulsive chambermaid in a hotel to acts as a voyeur in other peoples lives by sleeping under their beds. She starts to come out of her shell when she meets a dominatrix when she hides under one of her client's bed.
