Although too simple in some moments, and unavoidable disappointing in some aspects (I cannot say any more without spoilers), the end leaves us a llittle great lesson about life.

Bittersweet period drama about the joys of reading.

Encantadora cinta, me encanta la forma de filmar de Isabel Coixet.

So little happens, you could probably solve a crossword while watching it; that's how little attention need be paid. But there's something about Emily Mortimer's lovely understated portrayal of Florence that's the equivalent of comfort food.

Isabel Coixet's The Bookshop is an example of the proverbial sledgehammer wrapped in velvet.
