An amazing movie, heart wrenching with a solid ending.

A meaningful quote: Henry: ?Violence isn?t the worst thing in the world? Mom: ?What is then?? Henry: ?Apathy? I was afraid I was getting into a sappy story but it was definitely, in my opinion, a story worth telling and worth watching. A very good film. Nice touch with the Stevie Nicks song at the end too!

This is one of the best movies I have seen, critics be damned. Henry is brilliant and he has a plan. He keeps meticulous notes with drawings and graphics all the while managing the family's extensive investments to the point that his mom doesn't need to work because the family can live off the interest. Did I mention he is 11? This movie portrays deeply held secrets, a family's love, death, grief and joy. I think the ending was expected and not as some critics describe as maudlin. He is smart and cool, and he understands adult problems better than the adults.

Don't let critics sell this as a car crash ! This movie is the most original plot you will get. It breaks all the rules and I think that's what film needs right now ! I loved it ! And you will too ! Just strap in and enjoy ! I respectfully disagree with all the negative reviews.

I heard about this movie at it's premiere and just watched it today. The reason that I didn't watch it sooner was a symptom of the critics ratings. SHAME ON THE LOT OF THE CRITICS! I have my own speculations on the motives behind the poor rating, which I will reserve. This movie is amazing! Frankly, I haven't seen Naomi Watts in a better performance since, "Tank Girl".
