Love this movie! I never knew birding was so competitive! This moving was heartwarming :)

Just rewatched this - still as cute as ever.

A nice amusing film. A lot of the references to birding were spot on and there's some good use of the 'mock-umentary' style. Wilson, Black and Martin were good at portraying characters pursuing the same obsessive goal and this film takes a gentle, lightly comedic approach to that. But if you watch this wanting to see the usual style of comedy you've come to expect from these three actors, then you will be disappointed.

My wife and I just watched The Big Year and found it delightful! The humor used throughout the movie was quite clever. The life lesson of what matters most was artfully woven into the climax of the story. This was one of those movies that you didn't expect to be interesting because of the content, but the journey through the year was masterfully accomplished with script and delivery by some great stars! Job well done director, David Frankel!
