The Beach Bum feels like a similar display of prized possessions – only that one of you (Matthew) is taking us on a tour of his bongo- and bong-filled bedroom, while the other (hi, Harmony) is just leading us to his toilet.

I enjoyed my last trip to the grocery store more than this movie. Moondog seems to be having less fun that a normal person going about a normal day. He gets high, drunk, dances with the nearest girl, spews poetry, and staggers around. For 95 minutes. THAT is it folks. Nothing to see here.

McConaughey dives headfirst into the well here, howling all the way, and his committed performance is one to admire even if it’s not one to like.

McConaughey, as I mentioned, has an Oscar. But this “performance” seems so unerringly stoned and slack-jawed that you can’t believe it’s not filmed reality.

That was awesome experience. The film has a lot of funny moments and Matthew McConaughey acting is fantastic. I recommend this film with clean soul to everybody.
