For devilishly mad "astro-scientist" Dr. DeMarco (John Carradine), a typical day involves run-ins with reanimated corpses, bloodthirsty solar-powered killer robot zombies, Chinese communist spies and vicious Mexican secret agents. It's a movie that you exactly get with a title like Astro Zombies! And you even get John Carradine saying things nobody understands and playing with things nobody knows.

Fun, bottom-dollar, unique enough prime-era B-horror. At its best, the bizarro fantasies explored within are enough to make you a little uneasy about details that remind you, even abstractly, about the present day.

Even the costumes were cheap. Dialog stunk. Plenty of scenes of gratuitous filler. It's a shame Carradine was limited by his script.
