Terror Island (1920)

Inventor Harry Harper travels to the South Seas, where there is buried treasure belonging to a girl, Beverly West. Naturally, others are after the loot, and Beverly's father is being held captive by cannibals until she returns to them with a pearl that belongs to one of their idols. The climax consists of Harper saving Beverly from a safe which has been lowered into the sea.

Boring, predictable, and just like every other movie of its kind. I wasn't impressed by this movie at all.

It still entertains after all these years, and Harry Houdini's escape scene is pretty cool, as is the water scenes, but it is a pretty average silent film. Nothing really innovative, prett average adventure storyline, but those silent movie stunt people really risked everything!
