This film is only notable for its camp value - and there's ALOT of it. The whole time I felt like John Derek was pulling my chain. How could ANYBODY take this film seriously when Bo Derek is playing a turn-of-the-century woman who apparently has never been raised in any kind of a society that requires her to be a 'lady'. Bo gets wet alot in this movie and all she wears is a dress that's see-through. You just can't buy a second of it. Plus her acting is bad, Miles O'Keefe is awfully bland (but has a sexy body)and the undercurrent of beastiality at the end credits is in real poor taste. My favorite part is the opening credits when the MGM logo appears; has to be seen to be believed.

Hearing Bo Derek giggle and say "I've never touched a man before!" while caressing a passed-out Tarzan's loin cloth is just hilarious. Watch this on one of those nights when you get drunk and rent a REALLY bad film with friends.

So bad, it's good. You can watch Bo Derek getting wet and wetter and Richard Harris growing more and more frustrated until his final great monologue on the pleasures of Irish pubs. Best actors are the animals and most of all the apes who definitely deserved an Academy Award. Interesting for ethologists.

I wish there was better directing and the story with savages were terrible .. it wasn't neccessary. Bo I think was good for the movie, but her acting was not very good in this one but I think she could have if there was a different director. Oh well, but I did like the jungle including Tarzan struggle with the snake.
