Compelling story but I felt that the concept of having the murdered victim as the narrator was strange. Also, why was there so many transcripts of their chat conversations? I should have just read a book or article about the case with all of the text conversations that were highlighted, it seemed like padding. This really could have been pared down to a 30 minute documentary.

Fantastic material for a documentary but there's a few really irritating choices made by the director. The "narrative commentary" provided by a deceased person is rather annoying, particularly when the director begins putting words into his mouth. Also the long, repetitive segments of IM text on a bland background makes far rather uninteresting viewing.

I want to laugh because the transition from wholesome family took one session and truthfully was a joke but as is a true tale it does bang out a grim melancholy story :( Midweek afternoon on channel 5 movie - silly tommy...

In many ways similar to the standard crime drama, the reality of the story being described gave this film an unshakable gravitas. It's a story that will seem all-to-close for a lot of people, and that's before the full extent is given. Some of the graphic images and effects were overused, and it would have been nice to hear from a broader spectrum of experts offering differing opinions. The repetition lead to some viewer fatigue, but the story remained briskly told.
