In New York City, Thom is broke and jobless, illegally working as a taxi driver. Claire is a successful business-woman, but personally she's in shambles - then comes the phone call that her estranged father is in the hospital. Not knowing what to do, Claire hops in Thom's cab and orders him to just drive and so he does. They find themselves in Pennsylvania and Claire makes the rash decision to drive across the country to California. On the road, there are many detours as the obstacles and secrets force them to learn about themselves and each other.

This is really a good movie. It does follow a typical formula.. but the handling is a lot more realistic and satisfying. The acting is a lot more believable. This is definitely worth watching.

My husband and I really liked this movie on several levels. We enjoyed the character development, the scenery, the acting, the story, and humor. Everyone did such a great job. We look forward to seeing more movies written/directed/starred in from Sam Jaeger. We would recommend the movie.

I think this is one of the good solid romantic comedies with the other ones out there. This movie wasn't horrible but it wasn't exactly good either, there were a few good moments in it, just wasn't a good enough script. So for this being a not bad directing debut for Sam Jaeger and adding her wife in the mix, wich was something different that I have seen, I give "Take Me Home"a solid C.

Good movie, nice story. No real drama. Very beautiful lady that doesn't show it and dude that doesn't show his potential come together.
