A rare find and one of the greatest Hepburn movies. A delightful comedy from George Cukor.

Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant's first film together. And it's a great one. A flop in its time (probably for being both a bit off beat, and controversial) it became a cult classic in later years, and it really shows Hepburn and Grant at the finest, and in the hands of one of old Hollywood's most underrated directors, George Cukor. It's a bit quirky, and some how feels slightly awkward in it's execution. But a thoroughly enjoyable movie none the less.

Silly, enjoyable nonsense, can anything with Grant & Hepburn in it be all that bad? i think not, Hepburn is pretending to be boy for the first half of the film and doesn't do too bad a job, we have Grant as a cockney conman and all sorts of shenanigans occur.

A peculiar, rather audacious gender-bender tale, with Katharine Hepburn as a man for most of the film, keeping Cary Grant (and us) on his toes.

Underrated at the time, overrated today this is not really a good film, yet it is facinating to see Hepburn actually playing a boy. The gay subtex is undeniable. But that does not make it a great film
