Cut 30 minutes and it's a 5-star movie. It's The Matrix as a Romantic Musical. Stay to the end!!! (but don't skip ... most)

This is my all time favourite movie! Shiley Maclaine is fantastic along with a wonderful cast of Broadway legends. Fosse's direction and choreography and the art direction are the true stars of this though. Love the action in the Pompeii Club and Hey Big Spender is a joy. I got a first for my Film Studies critique of this film too!

The dancing is great, classic Bob Fosse, the movie is so long though. My favorite dance scene is the Rich Man's Frug.

I LOVE Bob Fosse's choreography, so I was really looking forward to this movie. I found the style distracting at times and found myself zoning out during some of the musical numbers. It was just ok for me.
