Hard-luck cabbie John Winger, directionless after being fired from his job and dumped by his girlfriend, enlists in the U.S. Army with his close pal, Russell Ziskey. After his barely satisfactory performance in basic training, the irreverent Winger emerges as the figurehead for a ragtag band of misfits. However, his hijinks threaten to cause an international scandal when he inadvertently commandeers a military assault vehicle behind enemy lines.

A bunch of misfits join an American Army Training Camp and end up saving the day. I haven't seen this movie for years. And guess what, it's still as great as I remember. Bill Murray and Harold Ramis give a great 'double-act' performance (which is just as a good as the duo in Ghostbusters). A hilarious story-line and a marvellous supporting cast make for a memorable piece of comedic cinema.

Bill Murray is a comic genius. Harold Ramis wrote an amazing film, he's the perfect muse for Bill Murray. John Candy is in another role where he is just golden, he's funny as always. Warren Oates is awesome as SGT Hulka... The movie is filled with one liners, hilarious situations that make you cry with laughter
