barbara stanwyck is a powerful fucking actress. underrated, she belongs in the highest echelons of classic ladies, and not just right below the overly beautiful ones.

I cannot stop crying, it is that good. Barbara Stanwyck plays a wokring class girl who marries a rich man but never loses her edge. She is devoted to her daughter even though she divorced her husband and does everything within her power to make her happy. I can't tell you the ending, but boy is it going to be going into my DVD player come Mother's Day!

This movie was very good. It had a modern storyline; this movie could be made today without changing a thing. The acting was just true enough, you could really see how Stella was trying to become upperclass without really knowing what she was doing.

STELLA DALLAS, if I could give you 10 stars, I would. Boy, do you make me cry. Barbara Stanwyck is AMAZING to say the least. One of my favorite movies of all time.
